Pandora Recovery – Mobile
Pandora Recovery is a powerful tool that provides users an effective way to attempt recovery of permanently deleted files. And that doesn’t mean restoration from the Recycle Bin. Pandora Recovery actually recovers files permanently removed from Recycle Bin, files originally deleted using Shift + Delete keys bypassing Recycle Bin and files deleted from DOS prompt.
Pandora Recovery is not a backup tool – it can recover files that have been deleted months ago. And while the likelihood of successful recovery is negatively affected by the time passed since the deletion of files Pandora Recovery users were able to recover files 11 years after deletion and more than 5 years after re-formatting a hard drive!
Pandora Recovery – Mobile is portable, requires no installation and is distributed with a removable storage unit (512MB USB jump drive). Every user of Pandora Recovery – Mobile enjoys an increase in the data recovery success rate through two major direct benefits:
(1) NO deleted data gets corrupted during an installation process. (Each installation of any software takes up some space on your hard drive. This will likely overwrite some of the deleted data making it unrecoverable.)
(2) NO deleted data gets corrupted during recovery. If you recover deleted files to a drive that the data originally resided on, the recovered data will have to take some of the space on the disk. (It is very likely that some of the deleted data will get overwritten and corrupted in the process.) With Pandora Recovery – Mobile you can simply recover the deleted data to the removable storage unit.
In addition to that, every user gets:
· 512MB USB jump drive
· PC Pandora Demo
· discount on a single PC Pandora order (coupon code delivered together with Pandora Recovery – Mobile)
· Ability to use Pandora Recovery within commercial enterprises
- Browse, search, preview and recover deleted files
- Recover Archived, Hidden, Encrypted and/or Compressed Images, Documents, Movies or any other type of files
- Review file properties and drive properties and get Recovery success estimate
- Recover to Local Hard Drive, Network Drive, or Flash Drive
- No installation needed – Runs from 512MB USB jump drive!

Pandora Recovery – Mobile Reviews

I have a bad habit of tossing things in the recycle bin and emptying the bin way too often. One time, it really hurt me… So I had to look for a recovery program online. I found this one, downloaded and installed the beta version for free. BAM! There was the file I stupidly tossed too soon. The program worked so well at work, I kept it on the machine and used it often. When I left that job and took a new one, where I use multiple machines, I wanted to install the program again. Then I found this – the stick version… Wow. No need to install anything… Just plug in and retrieve. Can’t get much easier than that. If you lose a lot of data or toss stuff too early, grab this magic wand!!!

IT Disaster Recovery Planning For Dummies Reviews

This is a well written, fact filled book with a pinch of humor. Peter does an excellent job explaining disaster recovery that even management will ‘get it!’ This book will guide even the most novice systems administrator through the process of planning and executing a DR plan. Once business, that relies on computing, discovers this book, it will become mandatory reading.
As a International Technical Coordinator, I work with hundreds of collaborative sites, most in 3rd world nations.
This book has helped me with being able to present recommendations, with common ideas/scenarios, on protecting the site’s data…especially sites with very little to no technical expertise.

Disaster Recovery is not simply about Katrinas nor earthquakes nor 9/11 catastrophes. Sometimes, the focus on these monumental events could intimidate even the most committed IT manager from tackling Disaster Recovery Planning. Disaster Recovery is really about the ability to maintain business as usual – or as close to ‘as usual’ as is feasible and justifiable – whatever gets thrown at IT.
Unfortunately, too many data center managers have not been able to effectively address disaster recovery, whether because of lack of management commitment, lack of knowledge or lack of resources. By effectively, I mean:
- a comprehensive disaster recovery plan, based on objective assessment of threats, vulnerabilities and exposure to loss;
- integration with comprehensive enterprise business continuity programs so that IT Disaster Recovery is consistent with overall business needs and priorities; and,
- a meaningful exercise program, combined with training and plan maintenance to ensure that the plan is current, realistic, and likely to work when called upon.
The good news is that with Peter Gregory’s new book, even a team without prior experience in disaster recovery planning – “…those frustrated and hard-working souls who know they’re not dumb, but find that the technical complexities of computers and the myriad of personal and business issues and all the accompanying horror stories make them feel helpless” as www.Dummies.com points out – can begin to address these issues.
Peter Gregory’s book helps to establish a realistic perspective for Disaster Recovery and provides a no-nonsense yet manageable foundation. He has identified many issues, techniques and tips which I found quite useful, despite my 25+ years involvement with business continuity and disaster recovery.
Okay, so it is a “… For Dummies” book – that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be taken seriously. While I confess I enjoyed Italian Wines for Dummies more, Peter Gregory’s new book succeeds in taking the intimidation factor out of IT Disaster Recovery and offers a common-sense, practical, yet comprehensive process for analyzing, developing, implementing, exercising and maintaining a successful IT Disaster Recovery program – even if he has, regrettably failed miserably to enlighten me about Super-Tuscan wines.

ioSafe Solo 2 TB Fireproof and Waterproof Desktop External Hard Drive with 1 Year Data Recovery Service SL2000GBUSB20 (Silver)
Like an aircraft black box for your digital data, the ioSafe Solo is the world’s first, high capacity, fireproof & waterproof external hard drive. Using a simple USB 2.0 interface, the ioSafe Solo works with your PC or Mac just like any other USB external hard drive. Compatible with almost all backup programs that work with external hard drives. A combination of patented and patent pending ioSafe technologies work to allow for airflow cooling during normal operation yet protect the data from fire and floods. FloSafe vents are open during normal operation. Active cooling is provided by a near silent fan that drives air through the FloSafe vents. During a fire event, the patented FloSafe vents automatically close to prevent extreme outside heat from damaging the hard disk inside the enclosure. DataCast is our proprietary endothermic insulation that vaporizes embedded water molecules during a fire and works hard to protect the inner hard drive from damage even though the outside temperatures spike to over 1500.
- Fireproof up to 1550degree F for 1/2 hour per ASTM E119
- Waterproof up to 10 feet depth, 72 hours
- Protect your photos, video, music and business data

ioSafe Solo 2 TB Fireproof and Waterproof Desktop External Hard Drive with 1 Year Data Recovery Service SL2000GBUSB20 (Silver) Reviews

I bought the 1 TB IoSafe because I wanted a good detachable hard drive that would last. I think it is worth the cost for what you get. The fact that they advertise it to be able to withstand fires, floods and theft seemed like a bit much to me at first, but now it feels more like my personal safe rather than just another computer component: I have downloaded and scanned all of my music and photos; albums, cassettes & CD’s along with my important legal documents, tax statements, bank records etc. I placed these items into various partitions that I created. I like it so much I am thinking about purchasing another IoSafe for my DVD collection! My only real complaint would be that it is kind of noisy when it is working. Also, the blue lights in front are pleasing but, the on/off switch is in the back and would be a pain in the neck to turn off and on if you placed it on the floor; which is exactly where something this heavy normally usually goes: However, I placed mine on a glass shelf that’s a part of my computer table. I then put a small carpet/rug remnant underneath so it doesn’t scratch the glass and it also helps with the noise. The only compromise I am making is that I cannot bolt the safe to the floor. There is a nice hole in the rear frame to insert a bolt through if you want to do this but then you have to think about reaching down and turning it off and on all the time. Leaving it on all the time doesn’t seem to great of an idea as the blue lights are bright and when it is saving things it does make some noise. In any case I didn’t need to bolt it down so my solution works really great for me. The IoSafe makes you feel really secure. I am sure there are ways to add additional passwords/encryption codes etc. to further secure your data and valuables within the safe, but nothing I have is really all that valuable to anyone else but me, the peace of mine I get and the obvious thought that was put into this build makes this product quality in my book. It truly is My Digital Safe.
I thought it would be helpful to add that I never ended up getting a second IoSafe. I’m still really happy with my IoSafe but I found 1 TB to be inadequate to hold all my DVD’s: I have too many of them. I’m going with a 4 TB NAS with a RAID option. The IoSafe comes in a 2 TB model, but I need even more space. I read online recently that many people who have not yet purchased an external hard drive have cited the deciding factor as their lack of speed and that in the past, many externals have been, clunky, expensive, loud and slow: The Iosafe revels in all of these qualities; it’s heavy, clunky, a real pain to carry around which is why even if you don’t bolt it down it’s really unlikely to ever get stolen. It’s been slow for me when I transfer massive amounts of video, but no slower than would be expected from USB; eSATA would have been a better option. I find it a little noisy but not unreasonable: I positioned it convenient enough to turn off & on, but not near earshot. All things said, as I look back now, I stand by my start rating. I really like this clunky, sort of loud, kinda expensive and a little slow, bombproof 1 TB external solution to backing up your computer to place that is probably safer than anyone really needs!

I don’t think anyone has mentioned has extraordinarily noisy this thing is. I can’t keep it running all the time, it’s so loud. I just turn it on to do back-ups.
